This manual has been written by Yamaha Motor Com-
pany for use by Authorized Yamaha Dealers and their
qualified mechanics. In light of this purpose it has
been assumed that certain basic mechanical precepts
and procedures inherent to Our product are already
known and understood by the reader.
Without such basic knowledge, repairs or Service to
this model may render the machine unsafe, and for
this reason we must advise that all repairs and/or Ser-
vice be performed by an Authorized Yamaha Dealer
who is in possession of the requisite basic product
knowledge.
The Research, Engineering, and Service Departments
of Yamaha are continually striving to further improve
all m o d e l s m a n u f a c t u r e d by the C o m p a n y .
Modifications are therefore inevitable and changes in
specifications or procedures will be forwarded to all

applicable, appear in future editions of this manual.

les Concessionnaires Yamaha Autorises seront tenus au
courant en temps opportun des modifications eventuelles
intervenues dans les donnees et procedes d'entretien, et
ces modifications paraitront dans les prochaines editions
de ce manuel.
Diese Anleitung wurde von der Yamaha Motor Com-
pany zusammengestellt und ist für anerkannte
Yamaha-Händler und ihre qualifizierten Mechaniker
bestimmt. Bei der Abfassung wurde daher davon aus-
gegangen, daß gewisse Grundregeln der Montage und
Verfahren, die bei unseren Erzeugnissen Anwendung
finden, dem Leser bereits hinlänglich bekannt sind.
O h n e d i e s e s G r u n d w i s s e n d u r c h g e f ü h r t e
Instandsetzungs- oder Wartungsarbeiten können zur
Folge haben, daß das Fahrzeug nicht betriebssicher
ist.
Die Versuchs-, Entwicklungs- und Kundendienstabtei-
lungen von Yamaha sind ständig bemüht, alle von der
Gesellschaft hergestellten Modelle noch weiter zu ver-
bessern. Die dadurch bedingten Änderungen der
technischen Daten oder Verfahren werden sämtlichen
anerkannten Yamaha-Händlerbetrieben mitgeteilt und
gegebenenfalls in künftigen Auflagen dieser Anleitung
berücksichtigt.
