Vorbereiten des Bedienstiftes
Aufgrund der komfortablen Fingertouch-Funktio-
nalität des KARL STORZ Navigationspanels ist die
Verwendung des Bedienstifts während der Operati-
on nicht notwendig. Bei Bedarf kann der Bedienstift
jedoch benutzt werden, muss dann aber steril
verpackt werden. Hierfür wird der Bedienstift in
die sterile Einmalfolie gewickelt. Um zu vermeiden,
dass die Spitze des Stiftes die Folie durchsticht,
muss die Folie an dieser Stelle verstärkt werden (z.
B. durch Klebeband).

WARNUNG: Wird die sterile Folie durch
den Bedienstift beschädigt, muss die
Abdeckfolie sofort gegen eine neue ausge-
tauscht werden.
Aufstellen des NAV1™ pico-Systems
Das NAV1™ pico-System muss so aufgestellt wer-
den, dass beide Einzelkameras der Navigations-
kamera während der gesamten Instrumenten-
registrierung, Patientenregistrierung und Navigation
freie Sicht sowohl auf den Patienten tracker als
auch auf das navigierte Instrument haben

VORSICHT: Stellen Sie die Bremsen am
NAV1™
pico-System durch Betätigung des
Bremsknopfes an den Rollen fest.
Es wird empfohlen, das NAV1™ pico-System am
Kopfende des Patienten aufzustellen.
Der Abstand der Navigationskamera zum Kopf des
Patienten sollte zwischen 0,8 und 1,2 m betragen.

und Personal nicht durch vorstehende Elemente
oder scharfe Kanten verletzt werden.

Preparing the operating pen
Thanks to the convenient finger-touch functional-
ity of the KARL
STORZ navigation panel,
it is not
necessary to use the operating pen during the
operation. However, the operating pen may be
used if necessary, although it must be placed in
sterile packaging. To this end, the operating pen
is wrapped in sterile disposable film. In order to
prevent the tip of the pen piercing the film, the
film must be strengthened at this point (e.g., with
adhesive film).

Setting up the NAV1™ pico system
The NAV1™ pico system must be set up so that
both individual cameras of the navigation camera
have an unobstructed view of the patient tracker
and the navigated instrument during the entire
instrument registration, patient registration and
navigation.

CAUTION: Actuate the brakes on the
NAV1™ pico system by operating the
brake button on the castors.
It is recommended that the NAV1™ pico system
is set up at the patient's head end. The distance
between the navigation camera and the patient's
head should be between 0.8 and 1.2
m.

personnel is not injured by protruding
components or sharp edges.
If the patient tracker or the instrument is not
visible, a message appears to this effect.
