Aufstellen und Bedienungs-
hinweise

Achten Sie bei der Erstellung der CT-Aufnahmen
auf eine überstrahlungsfreie Aufnahme (z. B.
bei Dentalimplantaten). Die Generierung des
Navigation kann nicht durchgeführt werden.

HINWEIS: Alle Datensätze müssen vor einer
Operation geprüft werden, insbesondere die
Lesbarkeit und Darstellung.
Speichern Sie immer den unbearbeiteten, nicht
auf dem Datenträger ab. Speichern Sie keine
komprimierten Daten, z. B. im JPEG-Format.
Speichern Sie keine Sekundärrekonstruktionen
oder sonstige Bilder auf dem Datenträger.
Werden mehrere Datensätze erzeugt, müssen
diese unter verändertem Namen abgespeichert

When creating the CT scans, ensure that the image
is free from overexposure (e.g., for dental implants).
The generation of the 3D model is otherwise not
possible in some cases and the navigation cannot
be carried out.

NOTE: All data records must be examined
prior to an operation, particularly in respect
of readability and representation.
Always save the unedited, uncompressed image
format. Do not save any compressed data, e.g.,
in JPEG format. Do not save any secondary
reconstructions or other images to the data storage
device.
If several data sets are created, they must be saved
under a modified name (e.g., "Bloggs, Joe 2").

The KARL STORZ navigation systems work
successfully with the following settings:
The current and voltage settings are similar to
those of a normal sinus CT scan with a bone
window.

Patient positioning: Axial to the occlusal
plane

Transversal (axial) acquisition plane – Spiral CT
followed by creation of an axial data set

Interslice gap: 1 mm
•
Slice thickness: 1 mm or thinner
•
Cross section: 150 to 180 mm
•
Voxel size: 1 mm x 150 mm/512 × 150 mm/
512 = 1 mm x 0.3 mm x 0.3 mm

The scan must include the upper lip, the
entire nose, the forehead and at least the
medial part of the ears. Dental implants
should not be included since they cause
artifacts and may impair the calculations of the
navigation system.
