Qualifikation des Anwenders
Der Anwender des KARL STORZ NAV1™ pico-
Systems sowie die beteiligten OP-Schwestern und
anderes Personal müssen zum sicheren und effek-
tiven Betreiben des KARL STORZ NAV1™ pico-
Systems ein von Hersteller und Inverkehrbringer
autorisiertes Training erhalten haben, um das
KARL STORZ NAV1™ pico-System an einem Pati-
enten einsetzen zu dürfen. Die Anforderungen an
eine solche Schulung können je nach geltenden
gesetzlichen Regelungen am Einsatzort unter-
schiedlich sein. Der Betreiber des KARL STORZ
NAV1™ pico-Systems hat sicherzustellen, dass
der Anwender eine adäquate Einweisung in das
KARL STORZ NAV1™ pico-System entsprechend
den jeweils gültigen lokalen Gesetzen erhält.
Sicherheitsmaßnahmen am Aufstellort
Das Gerät darf nur in medizinisch genutzten Räu-
men eingesetzt werden, die nach den national gül-
tigen Vorschriften installiert sind.
Es ist nicht für den Betrieb in explosionsgefährde-
ten Bereichen bestimmt. Dies bedeutet u. a.: Bei
Verwendung von leicht brennbaren und explosi-
onsfähigen Inhalations-Anästhesiemitteln und deren
Gemischen darf das Gerät nicht in der dargestell-
ten Gefahrenzone betrieben werden. Solche Mittel
sind zum Beispiel Ether pro narcosi (Diethylether,
Cyclopropan) sowie brennbare, leicht verdampfba-
re Hautreinigungs- und Hautdesinfektionsmittel, die
eine explosionsfähige Atmosphäre bilden können
(z. B. Waschether, Ether petrolei).
Das Gerät ist mit einem Schutzleitersystem
ausgestattet und darf daher nur in Räumen
betrieben werden, die sich in Übereinstimmung
mit den Normen und Gesetzen für die elektrische
Sicherheit in für medizinische Zwecke bestimmten
Räumen befinden.
Sicherheitsmaßnahmen beim Einsatz des
Gerätes
Alle Produkte von KARL STORZ sind unter strik-
ter Einhaltung von strengen Sicherheits standards
entwickelt und produziert worden. Trotzdem ist
für den Schutz von menschlichem Leben ein ord-
nungsgemäßes Verwenden sowie die regelmäßige
Wartung eines medizinischen Systems notwendig.
Safety instructions
User qualification
In addition to the surgical nurses and other staff,
the user of the KARL STORZ NAV1™ pico system
must have received training on the safe and effec-
tive use of the system from a provider authorized
by the manufacturer and distributor in order to
receive approval to use the KARL STORZ NAV1™
pico system on patients. The requirements of such
training may differ depending on the applicable
statutory regulations at the place of use. The
operator of the KARL STORZ NAV1™ pico system
must ensure that the user is adequately trained in
the use of the KARL STORZ NAV1™ pico system
in accordance with the relevant local laws.
Safety precautions at the site of
installation
The unit may only be used in medical rooms
in which the installations conform to applicable
national regulations.
It is not intended for use in hazardous zones. This
means, for example, that when using easily com-
bustible and explosive inhalation anesthetics or
mixtures of these, the unit must not be operated
inside the demarcated hazard zone. Examples
of such substances are: anesthetic ether (diethyl
ether, cyclopropane) as well as combustible, vola-
tile skin cleansers and skin disinfectants which
may create an explosive atmosphere (e.g., deter-
gent ether, petroleum ether).
The unit is fitted with a protective conductor sys-
tem and must therefore only be operated in rooms
which comply with the standards and laws for the
electrical safety of rooms designated for medical
use.
Safety precautions when operating the
unit
All KARL STORZ products are developed and
produced in absolute compliance with the strictest
safety standards. Nevertheless, in order to protect
human life, the medical system must be used
properly and maintained regularly. It is mandatory
that the user of this system reads, observes and
adheres to all the hazard and safety information
given in this instruction manual in order to guaran-
