Vorbereitung radiologischer Bilddaten für
die Verwendung mit dem KARL STORZ
NAV1™ pico Navigationssystem
Das KARL STORZ Navigationssystem NAV1™ pico
(40 8000 01) kann Bilddateien nach dem DICOM-
Standard 3.0 importieren. Dieser Standard wird von
allen Geräten größerer Hersteller unterstützt. Daher
sollte das KARL STORZ NAV1™ pico-System mit
allen verfügbaren CT-Geräten kompatibel sein. Die
Nutzung von MRT- und CBCT-Daten erfordet eine
gesonderte Prüfung.
Bitte kontaktieren Sie die Abteilung Navigation
(Kontakt: siehe Instandhaltung/Kontakt), wenn Sie
beabsichtigen, andere als die im Anhang „Kompatible
Geräte" angegebenen bildgebenden Systeme zu
verwenden. Vor dem ersten klinischen Einsatz
des KARL STORZ NAV1™ pico-Systems in der
klinischen Routine ist es notwendig, die Kompatibilität
zu validieren. Dazu muss ein Testbild erfolgreich in
das KARL STORZ NAV1™ pico-System importiert
werden können.
Sollten Sie Probleme haben, Bilddaten einer
unbekannten Bildquelle importieren zu können, so
kontaktieren Sie bitte die Abteilung Navigation.
Aufnahme radiologischer Daten und
Prüfung der Lesbarkeit der Datensätze
Durch Schnittstellenproblematiken sowie
Einstellungen des Exportfilters am CT kann es
mitunter vorkommen, dass sich aufgezeichnete
DICOM-Bilddatensätze einiger CT-Geräte nicht
oder nur unvollständig in das KARL STORZ
NAV1™ pico-System einlesen lassen.
Aus diesem Grunde ist folgendes zu beachten:
Vor Anfertigung einer CT-Aufnahme eines Patienten
und Festlegung eines Behandlungstermins muss
geprüft werden, ob die exportierten Bilddaten zum
KARL STORZ NAV1™ pico-System kompatibel sind
und korrekt eingelesen werden. Die Voraussetzungen
für einen erfolgreichen Export der Daten werden
nachfolgend beschrieben und müssen dem
Radiologen zugänglich gemacht werden.

WARNUNG: Bei einem Patienten darf
keinesfalls ein CT durchgeführt werden,
wenn nicht zuvor geprüft wurde, ob die ex-
portierten Bilddaten mit dem KARL STORZ
NAV1™ pico-System kompatibel sind.

Preparation of radiological image data
for use with the KARL STORZ NAV1™
pico navigation system
The KARL STORZ NAV1™ pico navigation system
(40 8000 01) can import image files in accordance
with the DICOM Standard 3.0. This standard is
supported by all of the devices produced by the
larger manufacturers. Therefore, the KARL STORZ
NAV1™ pico navigation system should be compat-
ible with all of the available CT devices. The use of
MRI and CBCT data necessitates a special exami-
nation.
Please contact the Navigation Department (Con-
tact: see Maintenance/Contact) if you intend to
use imaging systems other than those specified in
the appendix "Compatible devices". Before using
the KARL STORZ NAV1™ pico navigation system
for the first time as part of your clinical routine,
it is necessary to validate its compatibility. To do
so, you must be able to successfully import a test
image into the KARL STORZ NAV1™ pico naviga-
tion system.
Should you encounter problems when importing
image data from an unknown image source, please
contact the Navigation Department.
Capturing radiological data and
examining the readability of the data sets
Owing to interface problems or the export filter
settings of the CT device, it may sometimes be
the case that DICOM image data sets which are
recorded by some CT devices cannot be read or
can only be partially read by the KARL STORZ
NAV1™ pico navigation system.
For this reason, please note the following:
Before taking a CT scan of a patient and fixing a
treatment date, you must examine whether the
exported image data is compatible with and is read
correctly by the KARL STORZ NAV1™ pico navi-
gation system. The requirements for successfully
exporting the data are explained below and must
be made accessible to the radiologist.

patient be scanned with a CT, if the com-
patibility of the exported image data to the
KARL STORZ NAV1™ pico navigation sys-
