Zweckbestimmung
Der Knochenanker dient der temporären Fixierung
eines Patiententrackers (40 8000 86 oder 40 8000 87)
der KARL STORZ Navigationssysteme (Navigation

mit den Patiententrackern (40

Knochenschrauben im Bereich der HNO-Chirurgie
und bei kranialen Eingriffen verwendet werden.
Das Produkt kommt nicht direkt mit dem zentralen
Nervensystem in Kontakt.
Die Verwendung in anderen als den genannten
Bereichen ist nicht gestattet. Eigenmächtige
Umbauten oder Veränderungen sind aus
Sicherheitsgründen untersagt.
Kontraindikation
Der Knochenanker darf nicht verwendet werden,
wenn nach Meinung eines verantwortlichen Arztes
eine solche Anwendung eine Gefährdung des
Patienten hervorrufen würde, z. B. aufgrund des
Allgemeinzustandes des Patienten.
Kleinkinder (unter 6 Jahren) und Säuglinge
verfügen nicht über eine ausreichend verfestigte
Knochenstrukturen für eine zuverlässige
Verankerung der Fixierungsschrauben. Der
Knochenanker darf bei Kleinkindern (unter 6
Jahren) und Säuglingen nicht eingesetzt werden.
Osteoporose oder Osteomalazie und
andere schwerwiegende Schädigungen der
Knochenstrukturen stehen einer stabilen
Verankerung des Knochenankers entgegen.
Der Knochenanker darf nicht an Patienten
angewendet werden, die an der Kreuzfeld-Jakob-
Krankheit leiden. Sollte der Knochenanker an
einem solchen Patienten dennoch eingesetzt
geltenden Bestimmungen entsorgt werden. Die
Betriebserlaubnis erlischt in diesem Fall sofort.

patient trackers (40

suitable bone screws in the field of ENT surgery
and in cranial interventions.
The product does not come into direct contact
with the central nervous system.
Any other use is prohibited. Unauthorized
conversions or modifications are not allowed for
safety reasons.
Contraindication
The bone anchor must not be used if, in the
opinion of the responsible physician, the health of
the patient is endangered through such use, e.g.,
due to the general condition of the patient.
The bone structures of small children (under 6
years of age) and babies are not sufficiently solid
to allow reliable anchoring of the fixation screws.
The bone anchor must not be used on small
children (under 6 years of age) and babies.
Osteoporosis or osteomalacia and other serious
impairments to the bone structures exclude a
stable fixation of the bone anchor.
The bone anchor must not be used on patients
who are suffering from Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease.
If the bone anchor is nevertheless used on such
a patient, it must subsequently be disposed of in
accordance with the applicable regulations. In this
case, the type approval is invalidated immediately.
