3. install the camshaft on the cylinder
head. Place a strip of Plastigage between
the camshaft and camshaft cap as illus-
trated (lengthwise along camshaft).
Tighten the nuts with specified torque.
Remove the camshaft cap and determine
the clearance by measuring the width of
the flattened Plastigauge.
Cap nut tightening torque:
10 Nm (1.0 m•kg, 7.2 ft-lb)
NOTE:
Be careful so that the camshaft cap is installed
in the correct position.
3. Monter l'arbre a cames sur la culasse.
Mettre une bande de Plastigage entre
l'arbre a cames et les chapeaux d'arbre
cames, comme illustre (dans le sens de la
longueur de l'arbre cames). Serrer les
ecrous au couPle specifie. Enlever les
chapeaux d'arbre cames et determiner
le jeu en mesurant la largeur du Plasti-
gage aplati.
Couple de serrage d'ecrou de chapeau:
10 Nm (1,0 m•kg, 7,2 ft-lb)
N.B.•
Bien faire attention a. ce que le chapeau
d'arbre cames spit monte dans la position
correcte.
3. Die Nockenwelle am Zylinderkopf an-
bringen. Ein Stuck MeRdraht zwischen
Nockenwelle und Lagerdeckel anbringen,
wie es in der Abbiidung gezeigt ist (in
Langsrichtung). Die Muttern mit dem
vorgeschriebenen Anzugsmoment festzie-
hen. Danach den Nockenwellen-Lager-
clack& wieder ausbauen und das Spiel
anhand der Breite des zusammen-
gedrikkten Madrahtes bestimmen.
Anzugsmoment der Lagerdeckel-
Muttern:
10 Nm (1,0 m•kg, 7,2 ft•lb)
ANMERKUNG•
Darauf achten, dal3 die Nockenwellen-Lager-
deckel an den richtigen Positionen installiert
werden.
NOTE:
Do not turn camshaft when measuring clear-
ance with Plastigage.
N.B.•
Lorsqu'on mesure le jeu avec du Plastigage, ne
pas tourner l'arbre a cames.
ANMERKUNG•
Niemals die Nockenwel le drehen, wenn der
Megdraht unter den Lagerdeckeln eingelegt
ist.
