9.3 Venting the metering pump
CAUTION!
Particular caution is required when handling chemical metering media.
Metering media can escape, which can cause skin irritation, depending on their
properties. Therefore, before venting, always read the product data sheet of
the metering medium to prevent any type of injury.
To ensure optimum priming performance, the stroke length should be set to
100% and the maximum stroke frequency should be set. If the pump has no
suction or insufficient suction, check whether the connection is correct.
The stroke length settings can be changed only when the pump is
running.
1.
Open the vent screw by approximately 1 turn.
2.
Keep a suitable collection vessel under the air bleed connection. (See
information on page 36 , Fig. 6 , item 8).
3.
Press the Test button
