Commissioning the bus coupler
Before commissioning the system, the following steps must
have been carried out and completed:
W
You have assembled the valve terminal and the bus coupler
(see "Assembling the valve system with the bus coupler" on
page 95).
W
You have connected the bus coupler (see "Connecting the
bus coupler electrically" on page 96).
W
You have made presettings and configured the system (see
"Making presettings" on page 105 and "Configuring the bus
system" on page 115).
W
You have configured the bus master so that it controls the
valves and the input module correctly.
W
You have carried out the diagnostic test on the input/output
modules (see "Testing and diagnosis on the bus coupler" on
page 117).
Commissioning may only be carried out by qualified
electrical or pneumatic personnel or an instructed person
under the direction and supervision of qualified personnel
(see "Personnel qualifications" on page 85).
Uncontrolled actuator movements when the pneumatics are
switched on
Danger of injury if the system is in an undefined state or the
manual overrides are set to position "1".

Put the system in a defined state before switching it on.
O
Set all manual overrides to position "0".
O
Make sure that no personnel are within the hazardous
zone when the pressure is switched on.
1. Switch on the operating voltage.
2. Check the LED displays on all modules.
3. Switch on the compressed air supply.
