VS HF04 grounding
The connection for the output module load supply must meet
the following requirements:
W
Cable socket: M12x1, 4-pin, A-coded without center hole (to
ensure correct plug-in connection)
W
Cable cross-section: per wire ≥ 0.5 mm
W
Length: Max. 20 m
1. Set up the correct pin assignment (see Tab. 12) on the plug
connections if you do not use pre-assembled wiring.
2. Connect the load supply using the M12 plug.

FE connection

To discharge EMC interferences, connect the FE connection
(1) on the EP end plate of the VS via a low-impedance line
with a functional grounding.
Recommended cable cross-section: 10 mm
When delivered, the screw for the FE connection is assembled on
the EP end plate of the VS. As an alternative, the FE connection can
be made on the E end plate (2) (see also Fig. 1 on page 89).

To do this, unscrew the screw for the FE connection from the
EP end plate of the VS (1) and screw it into the E end plate
(2). Then establish the connection with functional grounding
there.
