Changing the baud rate

A baud rate change will not be effective during operation!
The bus coupler will continue to work with the previous baud rate.
Never change the baud rate during operation.
Disconnect the bus coupler from the power supply UL before changing the positions
of switch S1.

The DIP switch S1 for the baud rate is located below the window (3).
Switch S1: On the DIP switch S1, the baud rate is set on the first three switches.
Two switch positions are possible on DIP switch S1: the switch position "OPEN" and the switch
position "ON".
Depending on the design of the DIP switch, the "OPEN" or "ON" position is labeled. The adjacent figure
shows a DIP switch with a labeled "OPEN" switch position.
Pay attention to the labeling of the S1 DIP switch.
Set the baud rate as shown in Table 16.
