10. Servicing the product

- Switch off the power supply before you start any
work on the product.
- Lock the main switch with a padlock to ensure that
the power supply cannot be accidentally switched
on.

10.1 Maintaining the product

10.1.1 CU 354
CU 354 is maintenance-free. Keep the unit clean and dry, and
protect it against direct sunlight. For ambient temperature, see
section 13. Technical data.

11. Taking the product out of operation

Switch off the main switch to take the system out of operation.

- Do not touch the conductors in front of the main
switch as they are still energised.
- Lock the main switch with a padlock to ensure that
the power supply cannot be accidentally switched
on.

12. Fault finding

- Switch off the power supply for at least five
minutes before you start any work on the product.
- Make sure that the power supply cannot be
accidentally switched on.
Fault
1. The system has stopped and
cannot restart.

Possible cause
a) The primary sensor is defective.
b) The cable is broken or short-circuited.
c) The power supply is disconnected.
d) CU 354 is defective.
e) The power supply is disconnected.
f) The main switch is switched off.
g) The main switch is defective.
h) The motor protection is activated.
Remedy
Replace the sensor.
Transmitters with 0-20 mA or 4-20 mA output
signals are monitored by the system.
Repair or replace the cable.
Connect the power supply.
Contact Grundfos.
Connect the power supply.
Switch on the main switch.
Replace the main switch.
Contact Grundfos.
