1. Moteur avec cylindres ä 5 lumieres (DS7, R5F)
Comme la m o t o de course R 3 , les Yamaha D S 7 et
R 5 F comportent des cylindres speciaux en
aluminium, avec chemises en f ö n t e , et utilisant le
Systeme de distribution ä 5 lumieres, le premier du
genre jamais employe pour les motocyclettes.
Le Systeme de balayage ameliore confere ä la machine
une grande reserve de puissance et un regime tres
regulier, particulierement aux basses et moyennes
vitesse s.
2 . Cylindres ä 7 lumieres et clapets d'admission
(RD250, RD3S0)
Le cylindre ä 7 lumieres, nouvellement mis au point,
ameliore grandement l'efficacite du balayage ä
n'importe quelle vitesse. De plus, gräce ä l'adoption
du Systeme d'admission ä soupapes flexibles perfec-
tionnees (clapets d'admission), le moteur se distingue
par sa souplesse et la regularite de son regime sur
toute la gamme des rapports de vitesses.
3. Autolube Yamaha d'une sürete ä toute epreuve
Comme tous les autres modeles Y a m a h a ä moteur
deux-temps, ces machines utilisent l ' A u t o l u b e ,
Systeme de lubrification de renommee mondiale.
L ' A u t o l u b e fournit automatiquement au moteur la
quantite precise d h u i l e requise, en fonction de la
vitesse et du regime. II assure donc une lubrification
parfaite, tout en reduisant la consommation d'huile
au m i n i m u m .
4. Boite de vitesses ä 5 ou 6 rapports
La boite de vitesses comporte 5 rapports sur les
modeles D S 7 et R 5 F , et 6 rapports sur les modeles
R D 2 5 0 et R D 3 5 0 . Ces rapports tres bien echelonnes
assurent le fonctionnement regulier du moteur a
faible vitesse, en ville. comme ä grande vitesse, sur
Lau toroute.
