be c l e a n e d , r e p l a c e t h e r e g u l a t o r u n i t . If a
c o m p l e t e r e g u l a t o r resistance test s h o w s a l l cir-
c u i t s t o have c o r r e c t r e s i s t a n c e , t h e r e g u l a t o r is
p r o b a b l y n o t t h e cause o f i m p r o p e r v o l t a g e
O u t p u t . T h e n e x t c h a r g i n g c i r c u i t c o m p o n e n t
m u s t be c h e c k e d .
4) R e c t i f i e r
a. C h e c k t h e r e c t i f i e r f o r p r o p e r o n e - w a y e l e c t r i c a l
f l o w t h r o u g h t h e d i o d e s . T r a c e t h e r e c t i f i e r
w i r i n g b a c k t o its m u l t i p l e c o n n e c t o r a n d d i s -
c o n n e c t it. Inside t h e c o n n e c t o r are f i v e m e t a l
p r o n g s .

k. S i le regulateur est en bon etat, les resistances
mesurees au cours des essais ci-dessus seront
conformes aux resistances specifiees. E n cas
d'ecarts entre les resistances mesurees et les
valeurs specifiees, et si ces ecarls ne peuvent pas
etre attribues ä un fil casse ou deconnecte (qui
peut etre ressoude) o u au grillage des contacts
(qui peuvent etre rectifies), i l faut remplacer le
regulateur. S i la serie complete des essais de
resistance du regulateur montre que tous les
circuits ont une resistance correcte, le regulateur
n'est probablement pas en cause en cas de debit
incorrect. Dans ce cas, verifier les autres ele-
ments du circuit de charge.
4 ) Redresseur
a. Verifier le redresseur pour voir si le courant passe
bien dans un seul sens dans les diodes. Suivre le
fil noir jusqu'au connecteur multiple et le decon-
necter. C i n q languettes metalliques se trouvent ä
l'interieur de ce connecteur.
