Read formatted Tag Data

The data read from a tag can be formatted as desired via
the ReadFormattedTagData() method. The format can be
set via the SetTagDataFormat() method.
In this example, the format is %e[0.12]%S[0.3].
Fig. 9-23: Method SetTagDataFormat()
This means that a total of 15 bytes are to be read. The first
12 bytes are intended to indicate the EPC of the detected
tag and the last 3 bytes indicate the status values. The
status indicates the read status, the EPC length in bytes
and the RSSI value.
To execute the ReadFormattedTagData method, the call
parameters of Identifier, CodeType and Password are
required.
Fig. 9-24: Method ReadFormattedTagData
In this example, the tag with the EPC
"080908080808080808080808" is to be read. The
CodeType used is Raw:ByteS, and no password is
required for the read operation. The inputs therefore look
like the following:

In total, data with a length of 15 bytes was read. This
corresponds to the setting of the format string. This
information is output via the l

parameter. The read data is then specified after

As described, the first 12 bytes provide the EPC of the
detected tag 080908080808080808080808 and the
remaining bytes provide the read status, EPC length and
RSSI value. In this case, the read was successful, the EPC
length is 12 bytes and the tag was detected with an RSSI
value of −28.
The application is described in detail in chapter 8.11 on
page 121.
