Interface settings

The allow the BIS U processor unit to be

service functions, which can be connected via a virtual
COM port.
TCP/IP connection
Open a TCP/IP connection:
1. Menu: Program settings > Interface...
⇒ The Interface Settings window opens.
2. Select the TCP/IP tab.

3. Select the network adapter in the n
pull-down menu.
4. Click the BiS S button.

the table.
5. Select BIS U processor unit by clicking on the
corresponding line.

TCP/IP connection.

connected via TCP/IP or USB. Via the checkbox u
dhcp, the device can be switched to DHCP to
automatically obtain an IP address.
DHCP can only be used in a network that
allows the dynamic assignment of IP addresses.
This must be ensured before activating DHCP,
otherwise it may no longer be possible to
access the processor unit via the network. In an
emergency, this setting can be reversed via the
service port (USB). An M12-USB service cable
is required for this (see chapter 10.3 on
page 173).
