Configuration

The configuration is the main menu used to read and
change the settings for the device (see Fig. 7-9).

In the following sections, each submenu is explained in

General device settings
The general device settings (see Fig. 7-10) are called up in

page 36). Settings made here can be carried by the
device as meta information.

The time is set in the form shown. The date consists of day
and month as a two-digit number, and the year must be
entered as a four-digit number. Day, month and year must
each be separated by a period and be entered in exactly
this sequence. The time is set in hours in 24-hour format
and minutes separated by a colon. Under t
n (d) the time zone in which the date was entered is

selected. The time difference to UTC (Coordinated
Universal Time) must nevertheless be entered manually in
the o t utc (e) field. The time difference must be

given in hours.
To correct time stamps, the desired daylight saving time
setting can be entered. An automatic change of daylight
saving time does not currently take place to ensure
consistent time stamps in industrial processes.
