Fig. 9-32: Method WriteTagDataFormatted()
The signature is checked for all read commands that use
the universal output format. The check result can be
included in the output by specifying the status byte in the
format string. The value 0 stands for a successful check,
the value 2 means that the signature does not match the
other tag data.
Fig. 9-33 shows that the signature verification was
successful.
Fig. 9-33: Successful signature verification
The signature is stored in the user area. If this area is
overwritten with the WriteTag() method, the signature
verification must fail in the next read command. Fig. 9-34
shows the output with a failed signature verification.

Dealing with static filters
The filter for synchronous scanning mode can be set using
the SetFilter() method.
To see the effects of the filter, a scan was first performed
without the filter. As can be seen in Fig. 9-35, three tags
with the following EPCs were detected:
–
080908080808080808080808
–
3005fB63ac1f3681ec880468
–

Fig. 9-35: Tag detection
For the first example, the settings that can be seen in
Fig. 9-36 were set for the filter.

This means that only tags whose EPC starts with "30" may
be listed. The RSSI value and the EPC length may take any
valid value.
