When the Auto-Setup parameter is set to the value 1, the
processor unit starts directly with the Auto-Setup via the
specified antenna. During the Auto-Setup, no further
commands are accepted by the processor unit, but the
value of the parameter can be queried cyclically to detect
the end and the result of the Auto-Setup.
The Auto-Setup is used to set the optimal transmitting
power in a single tag application. For this purpose, the
transmitting power is set so that only the data carrier
positioned in front of the antenna is detected and
processed.
During Auto-Setup, the RF LED (blue) indicates that the
UHF field is on.
To be able to start the Auto-Setup, at least the e
level is required.
Auto-Setup can and must be activated for each antenna
individually.
After successful completion, the Auto-Setup modifies both
the global parameters 0008
antenna read (default) and 0009
transmitting power on write and the session-related
parameter 1001 Transmitting power for antenna read

The value read back means the following:
– 0: Auto-Setup not yet started or successfully
completed. A single tag was able to be reliably read
and written to on its own based on the power. All
parameters were set.
– 1: Auto-Setup not yet completed.
– 2: Auto-Setup partially successful. Several tags were
able to be detected, the transmitting power 0008
and 1001 were set to be able to detect and read at
hex

– 3: Auto-Setup failed completely. No tag was found or it
could not be read. No parameters were changed.
– 4: Auto-Setup partially successful. A single tag was
able to be read reliably on its own based on the power,
but not written to. The following reasons are possible:
– Tag does not contain user data.
– Tags are read-only.
– The maximum power of the device is not sufficient to
write reliably.
