Application planning (continued)
Autonomous operation
In autonomous mode, the device performs cyclical data carrier
detections without the need to issue a command.
This operating mode is particularly suitable for applications that
need to do without an additional controlling system or that are to
detect individual data carriers only rarely.

The data is always output on a separate TCP channel,
depending on the 007 TCP channel via which operation was
started. The behavior corresponds to a cyclically executed
command.
Command identifier '-L': Detect data carrier, universal (see
page 122) without acknowledges.
The parameters for head (antenna) selection and maximum
tag number correspond to the last executed UniversalTagList
command. If no such command has been executed since the
device was started, the following default values apply:
Head = 0 (all active antennas)
Max. number of tags = Limited only by device
Autonomous operation with 007 enables the
device to cyclically detect data carriers directly
after power-on without any further external
influence and to report the results automatically
to an external system via TCP.

OPC UA
Call the SetAutoScan() method with a value
between 1 and 65535 to set the scan
interval in the range 1 ms...65 s.
This setting and the autonomous operation
are not retained following a device restart.
Call the SetAutoScan() method with a value
of 0.
No automatic data output.
The LastScanData variable displays the data
of a data carrier if at least one was found.
The LastScanData variable is shared by all
OPC UA sessions. If several sessions are
active at the same time, it is recommended
to use the method GetLastScanData(),
which returns session-related data.
If automatic data output under OPC UA is
desired, asynchronous operation is recom-
mended.
