Custom applications and extensions

The BIS U-6127 processor unit offers many options for
adaptation to customer-specific tasks, such as
autonomous operation, adjustable data output and input
formats and filter functions. In addition, the IO-Link master
port enables the actuation of further devices.
Nevertheless, it may be useful to perform further
processing steps of data preparation or data-dependent
processes in the device, thus saving additional system
components, control PCs or similar, and simplifying
handling and maintenance.
The Linux-based operating system and the Balluff system
architecture of the device also make it possible to integrate
customer-specific extensions through additional
applications in the device, e.g. to synchronize the scanning
process with sensors on the IO-Link port, to actuate
displays, to communicate directly with your ERP systems,
to implement fully autonomous operation in an application,
and much more.
The extension applications can make the most of the
advantages and the security concept of the device.
