Various operating modes can be selected for recording a
data carrier population. These are described in more detail
in chapter 6.5 on page 23.
S
ynchRonouS
In synchronous operation, a request must be sent to
the processor unit for each detection operation. This
then detects the data carriers that are in the detection
range of the specified antenna and returns them to the
controlling system in the form of a list.
a
SynchRonouSly
In asynchronous mode, in contrast to synchronous
mode, the detection process only has to be started
once. This then runs permanently in the background,
which keeps the data carrier list up to date. The current
list can then be queried via a synchronous request.

As an alternative to asynchronous operation with
synchronous request, asynchronous messages can
also be activated. These then only report changes to
the data carrier population. New data carriers are
registered via a c
message. Data carriers that
omeS
leave the detection range are deregistered via a g
message.
c

Cumulative, asynchronous operation continuously
detects all data carriers in the detection range and
adds them to the data carrier list. Only when the list is
queried synchronously is it deleted and created again.
In this way, all data carriers that have passed through
the detection range since the last query can be
queried.
The AsyncOperation parameter is transferred as a byte,
whereby options can be enabled or disabled via the
individual bit positions.

parameters with a higher security level.
The processor unit is only delivered with a standard admin
user. Additional users can be created via the web server
(see Data security on page 11 and User Management
on page 45).
When setting the parameter, the user name, a byte with
the value 01
and the user's password must be set. The
hex
string does not have to be terminated with a 0 byte.
If the username or password does not match a
corresponding entry in the user database, an error status
is returned.
When reading the parameter, only the username is
returned.
Users are automatically logged out of the
system after a period of inactivity of 15 minutes
and a new login is required. After 24 hours at
the latest, you must log in again.
