Write, read
The parameters Write, Read can be used to specify the
size of various data fields, whether BlockWrite should be
used for writing and how often a read command should be
repeated in the event of access failure.

The TID length determines how many data words (16 bits)
of the TID are transferred from the data carrier to the
processor unit. If data carriers are read whose TID is
greater than the set TID length, the TID read is limited to
the set number of bytes. If data carriers are read whose
TID is smaller than the set TID length, the TID is not
transmitted to the processor unit.

The Number of read attempts parameter is used to specify
how often the processor unit attempts to repeat a failed
read access to a data carrier before a negative status
message is sent to the processor unit.

Activate BlockWrite
Parameter-ID:
UHF-Manager:
OPC UA:
Webserver:
With normal write accesses to a data carrier, the data is
written sequentially to the data carrier word by word via
several write operations. Activate BlockWrite allows several
data words (16 bits) to be written to the data carrier with a
single write access. The maximum number of data words
can be defined via the Max. write length parameter.
When using BlockWrite, care should be taken to ensure
that this command is supported by the data carriers being
used.
If the BlockWrite command cannot be executed
successfully on a data carrier because, for example, the
data carrier does not support the command, the write
operation is repeated with the ordinary write command.

In time-critical applications, BlockWrite can offer
a time advantage. However, care must be taken
to ensure that all data carriers support this com-
mand.
Mixed operation of data carriers with and
without BlockWrite support can lead to higher
write/read times.
