Operation
If bypass thyristor is short (short circuit) and UPS runs in double conversion mode (on-line)
the following steps follow:
• the backfeed relay opens and
• the message „backfeed protection active" - warning 48 - is shown on the LCD panel.
Depending on load and voltage conditions the following alarms can be activated:
- warning 48 - „Backfeed Protection Active"
- warning 44
- warning 39
Status LEDs
The backfeed mode is monitored at the backside, where LEDs message the following:
- green : backfeed protection not active
- red: backfeed protection active (location of LED: see fig. 7 on page 14)
Reset
To reset the backfeed logic the UPS device must be switched OFF for some seconds.
