4.5. EXTERNAL ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
In order to gain access to the external electrical connections it is necessary to remove the
rear panel of the UPS. Before the cables are connected they shall be passed through the
cable clamps to hold them in position (see fig. 8) and tightened. Connect the earth cable
(PE) first. Connect the cables as shown in the connection terminal representations on the
following pages. A mechanical component for fixing the input/output cables of 30 and 40
kVA units is delivered within an accessory kit. This part has to be mounted at the rear side
in the case of large cross sections or heavy cabling.
Ensure that the UPS is isolated before removing panels.
Mains and loads conductors must be connected to the UPS as a right hand 3 phase system
4.6. TERMINALS
The terminal blocks at the rear of the UPS consist of the following components:
• terminals for power connections and external battery
• terminals for tempature sensor (only, if no integrated battery)
