In TwinCAT mark the slaves in question explicitly as "Hot-Connect-Slave"
with the addressing method "Station Alias" (or "Second Address"), not
"Input Word". Then activate the configuration.

Settings for EtherNet/IP™

First make the network settings in the browser depending on your network configura-
tion:
– DHCP server in network: Set DHCP under Config Control.
– BOOTP server in network: Set BOOTP under Config Control.
– No server in network: Set STATIC under Config Control and specify IP Address and
Netmask (subnet mask). The Gateway setting is optional, and depends on your net-
work.
