What do I do if I have forgotten the password?
You can temporarily disable user management by pressing and holding down the Reset
button on the front of the ClipX while logging in or changing a password (any password
is accepted, including a blank password field). You will normally need a second col-
league to press the button while you are logging in.

What must I watch out for when connecting the ClipX to a PC?
An Ethernet cable must be plugged in. Both ends must be set to DHCP (ClipX factory
default setting: DHCP). Connect to the ClipX by typing
address bar.
How can I synchronize multiple ClipX devices?
By interconnecting the SYNC outputs (and ClipX bus GND).
The ClipX devices synchronize automatically. You can interconnect a maximum of six
ClipX devices. The maximum cable length between two devices is 30 cm. The A/D con-
verters are only synchronized when carrier frequency (CF) measuring amplifiers are
being synchronized.

What is the purpose of the ClipX bus?
You can interconnect up to six devices over the ClipX bus. Each device can transmit a
signal on the bus, so up to five signals from other ClipX devices are available on each
device. The measured values are transferred automatically. All you have to do is specify
on each device which signal is to be transferred, and at which address.

How many calculated channels are available?
14 calculation functions are available per ClipX. For the results, a total of six output
channels plus eight digital flags are available. If a calculation is using more than one
channel, additional calculations can only use the remaining channels.
How high are sampling and processing rates in the ClipX?
The measurement channels are sampled and processed at 19.2 kHz. Calculated chan-
nels are processed at 1 kHz. Values are outputted via the analog output at 19.2 kHz, and
via the fieldbus interfaces at up to 4 kHz. The digital inputs and the flags or bits for the
outputs are analyzed after 1 ms at the latest in the event of a change.
