Restrictions
•
Only 1 segment with a maximum 4th order is supported for polynomial scaling (Cal-
ibration Curve). Only "Electrical" is supported as "Domain parameter of the Calibra-
tion Curve", meaning electrical values are converted to physical values. Correction
of physical values to other physical values is not supported.
•
For Pt100 (Resistive Temperature Detector) measurements are always in °C; the
HBM Unit Conversion template cannot be used. However, you can set a different
unit via your web browser's Amplifier menu. Any conversion template in the TEDS is
not evaluated.
Read data from TEDS module or overwrite TEDS module
Requirements
• A sensor with a TEDS module must be connected.
• The setting for use of TEDS must be TEDS required or Use TEDS if available.
• The ClipX must have firmware version 2.02 as a minimum.
Read out TEDS module
1. In your browser choose the TEDS menu.

The data in the TEDS module is then read out. Depending on your browser setting, you
are prompted to select a folder, or the file is saved to your Download folder. The file
name is automatically generated according to the syntax
"IEEE1451_4_ManufacturerCode_ModelNumber_VersionLetter_VersionNumber_SerialN
umber.ted". The identifier "PD" is used for the SerialNumber 0. If no VersionNumber is
present, this identifier is not applicable.
Reprogram/overwrite TEDS module
You can use a file containing TEDS data (file extension "ted") to describe a connected
TEDS module. Use the HBM TEDS Editor as necessary (free to download from
www.hbm.com -> Services & Support -> Downloads -> Firmware & Software) to gener-
ate such a file. For many sensors TEDS files are also available from the manufacturer.
