Using OPC UA

Running OPC UA and PPMP simultaneously is not possible. But you can run
OPC UA simultaneously with a fieldbus.
As from hardware version 2.0 and firmware version 1.4, OPC UA (Open Platform Com-
munications Unified Architecture) is provided on Ethernet port X1 (on the top of the

You can use both OPC clients and OPC Scada systems with the ClipX.
After enabling (choose Network -> IoT protocol: OPC UA), you are offered two alterna-

point URLs for your software. You might have to add domain information to the URL

Authentication
Authentication is by user name and password. You can use two user names. The name
must comprise between 1 and 15 characters. It is applied immediately after any change.
For the password, 0 to 11 characters are allowed, meaning you can also leave it blank.
