Operation via fieldbus
You can download a default PROFIBUS GSD file via your web browser's
Device Storage menu or from the HBM website: https://www.hbm.com/ClipX.
DPV0 (Cyclical data content)
During the cyclic transmission of measured or calculated values, 5 bytes are
transmitted on PROFIBUS (and only here): 4 bytes for the measured value
(FLOAT) and 1 byte (USINT) for the status of this value. This applies to the fol-
lowing measured values: Electrical value (Field value), Gross, Net, Minimum
value, Maximum value, Peak-to-Peak, Captured value 1/2, ClipX bus value 1 ...
6, Calculated value 1 ... 6, External Eth. value 1/2 and Analog Output. If the sta-
tus byte equals 0, the respective value is valid; if the status byte is not equal to
0, the value is invalid.
The External FB value 1/2 is the exception, it is only transmitted with 4 bytes
(without status).

DPV1 (Acyclic data content)
The DPV1 objects are addressed by way of Slot and Index. Whether a module
has been configured in a ClipX PROFIBUS slot (and if so, which one) is irrele-
vant. There are, however, PROFIBUS configuration tools that only send DPV1
requests when there is actually a module in the scanned slot. In this case you
must fill up the empty slots.
CiA404-compliant objects are located in slot 4.
DPV1 objects
R/W (access mode): RO = read only, RW = read and write, WO = write only.
UINT = unsigned integer.
