Sending commands
To send commands:
1. Send the data via Ethernet port 55.000.
2. All send sequences must be terminated by LF (Line Feed, ASCII 10) or-
CRLF (Carriage Return Line Feed, ASCII 13 and ASCII 10).
3. A send sequence may contain a maximum of 40 characters, including the
terminating characters. That means you can send 38 or 39 characters of
user data.
4. Text parameters must be enclosed in double quote marks (
double quote marks and no question marks (
The network connection is closed after about 30 seconds if no
request is sent or output generated in that time.
The ClipX supports a wide variety of network services, including NTP,
UPnP or multiple web browser connections. But since network
resources are limited, depending on the network being used and pos-
sibly necessary retransmits, such as in the case of WLAN connec-
tions, the reliability of a connection cannot be guaranteed under all
circumstances. So make sure that a connection is set up and the
ClipX is ready to receive before you send commands.
Receiving responses
After you have sent a command, you get either
