Value Explanation
5
Number of data bytes coming after the header data (number of FIFO entries
times 28 bytes).
6
Reserved, currently always 0.
7
Structure of the measured values for the RMB command
All measured values are stored as FLOAT-values with 4 bytes each in the FIFO.
The time is stored as UINT32 in milliseconds since the start of recording. An
entry in the FIFO therefore contains 28 bytes for the 7 values (6 signal sources
and the time value). If the entire FIFO memory is full (1000 entries, or 4000 from
firmware 2.0), you get 28,000 bytes (168,000 from firmware 2.0) with values
plus 32 bytes of header data.
Notes
An invalid measurement value is always replaced by 1.001 * 10
defined substitute value is not used.
The measured values are transmitted as 4 byteFLOAT with the byte
sequence Little Endian, i.e. the first byte is the LSB.
The time values in the FIFO are generated every millisecond by software by
incrementing. They are therefore not exactly equidistant in a grid of 1 milli-
second. The accuracy of the time base is approx. 0.02 to 0.03%.
When recording simultaneously by several devices, you should select the
highest possible recording rate (number of values per second) in order to
obtain a small jitter between the devices. For example, use for all ClipX a
digital input with the same signal. Since the digital inputs are sampled in a
grid at 1 ms, the time for a change should not be less than 1.2 ms to ensure
reliable detection. You can also set an additional difference condition to fur-
ther reduce the number of values actually stored.
