Functional description, installation (PROFIBUS) and setting

Function description
The LMIT 09 / S209 conductivity/temperature transmitter has all the necessary functions
for monitoring and controlling the concentration of conductive media.
n Measurement signal outputs for conductivity/concentration and temperature
4(0)...20 mA (electrically isolated)
n Measuring ranges: 5 conductivity measuring ranges: 0...200 µS/cm to 0...2 S/cm
n Three concentration measuring ranges: (0...5 % by weight) for standard cleaning
products (NaOH, HNO
(0...5 % by weight) for Ecolab products (e.g. P3-horolith)
n Four customer-definable product curves, with 4-10 sampling points, Tca and reference
temperature
n Automatic measuring range switchover between:
200µS/cm*, 2 mS/cm, 20 mS/cm, 200 mS/cm, 2 S/cm;
n Temperature measurement with Pt 100: between -20 and 150 °C (extremely short
response time)
USB interface for configuration/parameter setting and for documenting the

configuration values
n Illuminated graphics display for showing the conductivity/concentration and
temperature as well as all important settings and operating statuses
n Menu-controlled operation (multilingual clear text dialogue: German, English)
n Measuring cell, pressure (16 bar/20 °C), chemical and temperature resistant
(140 °C over a short period) from PEEK.
n Universal power supply: 24 V AC/DC
n Compact version (transmitter with integrated transducer)

The LMIT 09 / S209 conductivity/temperature transmitter also already has all the
necessary functions for separating the phases of conductive media ('CIP Function').
These can be activated and deactivated in the configuration menu of the LMIT 09 / S209.

PROFIBUS DPV1 version:
n The LMIT 09 / S209 conductivity/temperature transmitter can be integrated into a field
bus system that works with the PROFIBUS DPV1 protocol. Plug-in screw terminals are
provided in the LMIT 09 / S209 to enable connection.
The PROFIBUS-DPV1 version of the LMIT 09 / S209 contains all functions required for
the phase separation, concentration monitoring and concentration control of conductive
media.
The PROFIBUS DPV1 version contains all features of the BASIS and
CIP versions, plus:
n Configuration and parametrisation without direct access to the transmitter
n Data transfer of conductivity/concentration and temperature
n Transfer of status and fault messages
