Operation
Cal with resistor
The conductivity/temperature transmitter LMIT09 DPV1 is calibrated with the supplied
measuring cell at the factory. If it is necessary to recalibrate after replacing the
conductivity value transducer, proceed as described in this section.
NOTICE!
To achieve the specified measurement accuracy in the measuring range
0...200 µS/cm, the calibration must be performed with the flow fitting being
used (zero point and span).
For this, the measuring cell must be installed clean and dry in the flow
fitting for the "zero point check", without any loop resistance and/or without
fluid.
For the "measuring range end value calibration", the measuring cell must
also be installed in the flow fitting with the corresponding loop resistance
(38.3kΏ ≙ 200µS/cm, article no. 289191, EBS no. 10092914).
The calibration of the measuring ranges 2 S/cm, 200 mS/cm, 20 mS/cm
and 2 mS/cm can be performed outside of the fitting with the aid of a
conductivity simulator, article no. 289190 (EBS no. 10001656).
At the factory the unit has been calibrated in an NW50 flow fitting.
To ensure the measuring accuracy of the LMIT09 DPV1, the loop resistances must have
an accuracy of at least 0.2 %.
This is the case if the conductivity simulator, article no. 289190 (EBS no. 10001656) and
article no. 289191 (EBS no. 10092914) that is available as an accessory is used.
If the simulated conductivity values (resistance values) are outside the specified limits,
then ERROR is displayed. In this case, the calibration can either be repeated with a new
resistance value or aborted.

background (inverted).

Press the 'Down'
ð The Cal with resistor submenu is displayed in grey (inverted).

Press the 'Enter'

Use the 'Up'

Guide the loop resistance with the specified resistance value through the measuring
bore.
6.
Press the 'Enter'
ð Once the calibration has been performed successfully, the display changes from
BUSY to OK, and the next range is shown with a grey background. The calibration
of the remaining ranges can be performed in the same way.
