Functional description, installation (PROFIBUS) and
setting
The data transfer speed influences the maximum possible distance between the
PROFIBUS master (PLC) and the connected PROFIBUS slaves (transducers, valves,
etc.). To ensure orderly data traffic, the limit values specified in the following table should
not be exceeded (see also EN50170).

LMIT09 DPV1Terminating resistors in PROFIBUS networks
To avoid reflections in the bus line, the ends must be fitted with terminating resistors.
Depending on the line type, the corresponding characteristic impedance is 150, W (type A)
or 120 W (type B).
If the LMIT09 DPV1 is operated as the last participant (slave) in a bus line, a switchable
resistor network is integrated in the PROFIBUS. This network can be activated using the
switch S1, which is located to the left of the bus terminals.
Settings for fieldbus parameters
The setting of the PROFIBUS DP/V1 slave address is described in the manual LMIT09
DPV1 (article no. 417101557).
