12. Operation

Warning
Observe the safety instructions in the installation
and operating instructions for the diesel engine
and the pump.
Caution
Ensure sufficient ventilation of the controller.
The most important operating parameters and alarm messages
appear in the display and are indicated via indicator lights in the
control panel. See section 8.3 Status and fault
outputs of the pump set are connected to a building management
system, the operation can be monitored remotely.
To remedy any faults arising, see section
Alarm messages which are not automatically reset must be reset
by pressing [R]. See fig. 8.

The four possible modes are described in the following sub-
sections:
• automatic operation (normal operation)
• manual operation (for startup and after service work)
• emergency operation (if automatic operation is disrupted)
• test run.

12.1 Automatic operation

Once the pump set has been installed and started up according to
the installation and operating instructions, no further operation is
necessary.
The pump set works automatically and switches itself on as soon
as water is drawn from the sprinkler system and the pressure
switch detects a pressure drop.
The pump set is in automatic mode and ready for operation when
only indicator light "POWER SUPPLY" is on. See fig. 9.
