If the controller is delivered separately, e.g. in case of a Flex
version or replacement, the following additional connections have
to be made as well:
•
Connect the two batteries to terminal block X1. Connect L+ of
battery A to terminal 1 and L+ of battery B to terminal 3.
Connect starting relay 1 to terminal 4 and starting relay 2 to
terminal 5. Connect the common negative potential to
terminal 2.
•
Connect the generator to terminal block X3. Connect B+ to
terminal 14, D+ to terminal 17, the negative potential to
terminal 16 and the speed signal from the generator to
terminal 15. If the signal from a speed sensor is to be used for
speed indication instead of the speed signal, connect the
speed sensor to terminals 21 and 22 of terminal block X3.
•
Connect the stop valve for interruption of the fuel supply to
terminal 13 (digital output) of terminal block X3.
•
Connect the following sensor cables from the fire pump set to
the analog inputs of terminal block X3.
Sensor cable
Temperature sensor
Oil pressure sensor
Level sensor, fuel tank
Speed (generator)
Speed sensor
•
Connect the following sensor cables from the fire pump set to
the digital inputs of terminal block X3.
Sensor cable
Oil pressure switch
Temperature switch, engine
Fuel valve position
Level switch, priming tank
10.3 Battery connection
Before connecting the batteries, switch off the
Caution
power supply by turning the main switch to
"OFF".
One battery set consists of two batteries connected in series at
the factory. Connect the positive pole of battery set 1 first.
Then connect the negative pole of battery set 1. The positive pole
is marked with red and the negative pole with black. Proceed in
the same way with battery set 2. See fig. 7.

11. Startup
The following instructions presuppose that the controller has
been installed according to section
pump set has been correctly connected to the controller.
The pump set must be prepared for startup according to the
installation and operating instructions for the pump and diesel
engine. Set the pressure switches to the pressure values
required. See the installation and operating instructions for the
Terminal
pressure switches.

2. Switch off circuit
breaker F7 to prevent
an automatic start of
the pump set.
3. Switch on the
controller by turning
the main switch to

will be on.
4. Open the fuel valve on
the fuel tank.
Warning
Startup must be carried out by authorised
personnel. Do not touch any current-carrying
parts when the cabinet door is open.
Avoid physical contact with earthed metal parts
(pipes, frame, etc.).
Warning
Observe the safety instructions and startup
procedure in the installation and operating
instructions for the diesel engine and the pump.
