Storage and Transport

Transport and shipping can lead to product damage. If possible, use the original packaging
for packing the product.
In case this is not available, pad all empty spaces carefully (to the sides, above, and below).
Please also pad other boxes, in order to prevent product damage during transport.
WARNING
– Before transporting the product, it is necessary to process it in such a way that con-
tamination is ruled out. For this purpose, all components must be reprocessed (cleaning/
disinfection) according to the instructions provided.
– Medical products may only be sent back to the manufacturer in a cleaned and disinfect-
ed condition. Sharp or pointed components must be protected.
For storage and transportation environmental limitations, refer to Section 10 "Technical
Specifications."

9.1. Disposal

WARNING
All product components must be processed before disposal in such a way that contamina-
tion is impossible. All components must be reprocessed according to the instructions pro-
vided in the user manuals.
Note:
– In accordance with European Directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Elec-
tronic Equipment (WEEE) product should be collected separately for recycling. Do
not dispose of as unsorted municipal waste. Contact local distributor for disposal
information. Ensure infected equipment is decontaminated prior to recycling.
– The Batteries Directive 2006/66/EC introduces new requirements from September
2008 on removability of batteries from waste equipment in EU Member States. To
comply with this Directive, this device has been designed for safe removal of the
batteries at end-of-life by a waste treatment facility. Infected units should be de-
contaminated before they are sent for recycling. In the case that it is not possible
to decontaminate the unit for recycling, the hospital should not attempt to remove
the batteries from waste equipment. Continued disposal of small amounts of por-
table batteries to landfill and incineration is allowed under the Batteries Directive
2006/66/EC and Member State regulations.

– Battery report information: 1.) 3.0 gram 2.) CR2032 3.) Lithium-Manganese Dioxide
– The plug sockets and the sheet metals used in this product contain the following
substance: Lead, CAS No. 7439-92-1 (1907/2006 REACH). Handling Instructions: No
specific precautions are required for handling items manufactured from alloys con-
taining lead in the supplied condition.
– The printed circuit board used in this product contains a crystal and a filter,
which contains the following substance: Diboron Trioxide; CAS No. 1303-86-2
(1907/2006 REACH). It may contain Lead, CAS No. 7439-92-1 in resistors above
0.1%w/w(1907/2006 REACH).
