WARNING
If the camera unit is not directly connected to a second monitor, the camera processor must
be directly connected to the monitor by using a second image signal cable. This makes it
possible to regain the visibility to the operational area as quickly as possible in the event of
product failure.
CAUTION
– Only connect monitors suitable for the OR in accordance with the medical standards for
safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EN 60601-1).
– Always refer and adhere to the medical monitor manual.

5.5. Connecting the Field Generator

Connect the plug of the Field Generator to the socket on the front of the unit.
Note: The red markers on the cables plugs and the plug sockets have to point towards
each other. The plugs have to click into place.
WARNING
– Do not place the Field Generator Cable inside the measurement volume or wrap it
around the Field Generator, as it may create a magnetic interference. This interference
can contribute to inaccurate position measurements and possible personal injury.
– When installing the cable, take care to position the cable such that the operator or pa-
tient is not at risk of tripping over it.
CAUTION
Never use force to put the plug into the plug socket. Do not bend or strain the cable.

5.6. Connecting the Power Cables

Note: The potential equalization cable provides a connection between the medical elec-
trical device and a potential equalization bus bar. It serves to prevent or compensate
potential differences between bodies of electrical equipment and built-in conductive
parts in the patient environment.
WARNING
– The electrical installation of the operating room must meet the requirements of the ap-
plicable IEC standards.
– To prevent the risk of electric shock, this product should only be connected to a power
supply with a protective conductor. Check plugs and cables routinely and do not use if
damaged.
– Only use the supplied power cables, or cables that conform to the norms required in the
country where you operate the product.
