Getting Started
5.1. Unpacking
After opening the packaging, you should check that the delivery is complete and undam-
aged. If the delivery provides you with any reason to make a claim, you should get in con-
tact with the delivery service immediately.
The original packaging should be retained, as it can be useful in case you need to transport
the product at a later point.
5.2. Positioning
Position the device outside the patient environment on a flat and stable surface. To ensure
proper ventilation, and to avoid heat accumulation in a closed equipment cart, the ventila-
tion slits on the device's bottom and backside must not be blocked.
CAUTION
Only connect the device with the power mains after the entire system has been set up and
all data lines have been connected.
5.3. Connecting a Camera Processor
5.3.1. Connecting a DVI Connector
Connect the DVI output of the camera processor to the DVI-I input of the device.
5.3.2. Connecting a SDI Connector
Connect the SDI to cable to the SDI IN input of the device.
5.3.3. Connecting an S-Video Connector
CAUTION
The transmission bandwidth of S-Video-connections is lower than that of DVI and SDI-
connections.
1. Connect the DB9 to YC; +Composite; +Analog Audio; +Component breakout cable to the
DB9 input of the device.
2. Connect the S-Video output of the camera processor to the DB9 to YC; +Composite;
+Analog Audio; +Component breakout cable.
5.4. Connecting a Monitor
Use a DVI cable to connect to a compatible monitor via a Display Port (using the provided
adapter) or the DVI-I output. For an optimal display of the image, we recommend a monitor
with a resolution of at least 1280 x 1024 pixels and a screen size of at least 19 inches.
