GENERAL SAFETY NOTES
DANGER OF ACCIDENT AND DAMAGE!
• The E-bike was delivered in the pre-installed condition. Before initial commis-
sioning, it is therefore mandatory that the E-bike be set, adjusted and checked
for tight fit of the components and screws (see chapter "First commissioning").
DANGER
• Make sure that the E-bike is adjusted to your body size. Otherwise you may not
be able to operate or control the E-bike properly.
• Become familiar with the operation and the special riding behaviour of the E-bike
away from road traffic first. Specifically practice starting, braking and taking
narrow bends. The E-bike has a longer braking distance than a bicycle because
of its higher dead weight. Danger of accident!
• Always wear a certified bicycle helmet to prevent injuries.
• Prefer very visible clothing with light colours and reflection stripes so that other
road users can see you better and sooner.
• The E-bike has turning and movable pats. Wrong clothing, improper handling or
lack of attention leads to danger of injury.
− W ear close-fitting trousers. Use cycle clips if necessary.
− M ake sure that clothes that hang down cannot get into the spikes, e.g. in
case of scarves or cords.
− W ear slip-proof shoes with a stiff sole that provide enough support to the
foot.
• Ride with particular caution in bad weather, such as wet, snow or ice, or delay
your ride to a later time. In particular the brake performance may reduce strong-
ly in detriment weather!
• Always switch on the lighting in bad visibility conditions! Consider that not only
you will see better when the lighting is on, but that other road users will be able
to see you better as well.
• The maximum permitted total weight of the E-bike must not exceed the value in-
dicated in chapter "Technical data". The total weight includes the E-bike, the rid-
er and any load (e.g. basket and side bags, including contents, child seat incl.
child, trailer including trailing load.). Exceeding this may cause damage and ac-
cidents with a risk of injury!
• Technical changes may only be made in accordance with the legal regulations
prevailing in your country (Germany: StVZO (German Road Traffic Licensing Reg-
ulations)) and the DIN EN ISO specified on the rating plate, as well as any
other component-specific standards. This specifically applies to E-bike safe-
ty-relevant parts, such as the frame, fork, handlebar, stem, saddle, seat post,
luggage carrier (ISO 11243), all brake components (specifically brake lever &
brake linings), lights, foot pedal, wheels, trailer couplings, tyres and tubes.
