WHEELS
DANGER OF DAMAGE AND ACCIDENTS!
• Check before every ride if the profile of the tyres is worn and if there is any obvious
damage. If in doubt, replace the tyre at once with a genuine spare tyre.
WARNING!
• Replace defective tyres and tubes only with the size matching the rim, since only this
will ensure proper function.
• The maximum pressure indicated on the tyre must never be exceeded, since the tube
may otherwise burst!
• The tyres must have sufficient pressure at all times! Too low air pressure may
negatively impair cycling performance, specifically in curves. The tyres may also push
through and damage the rims. The tyres will also wear more quickly.
TYRES | TUBE
The tyre size is embossed on the tyre. It is indicated in millimetres (ETRTO standard) or inch. 47-622
means, e.g., that the tyre width is 47 mm and the inner tyre diameter is 622 mm.
Maintain the minimum and maximum pressure specified on the tyre. A tyre pressure below the speci-
fied minimum pressure can damage the rubber mantle due to excessive flexing which will cause the
walls to crack. Under-inflated tyres will also reduce the maximum possible range of the e-bike. How-
ever, exceeding the specified maximum pressure may cause the hose to burst. The precise tyre pres-
sure can be measured with an air pump with built-in pressure gauge or an external tyre pressure
gauge.
REFLECTION STRIPES
The law does not require additional spoke reflectors for rims or tyres with reflection stripes.
BREAKDOWN PROTECTION
The breakdown protection system for tubes or tyres renders repairs for small punctures (up to ap-
prox. 3 mm) unnecessary.
SPOKES
DANGER OF DAMAGE AND ACCIDENTS!
• Loosened spokes must be tightened at once at all times and damaged or torn spokes
must be replaced without delay.
WARNING!
• Have maintenance and repair work regarding the spokes (e.g. tightening the spokes,
replacing them or centring the wheel) only performed by a specialist using suitable
tools. Only this can ensure proper function.
