Automatic Operation

In the previous chapter switching operation, you have learned that for every recognised vehi-
cle individual changes can be made, in other words, how each vehicle can switch single
points, signals or complete routes all together. On your layout however, there are probably
lots of sequences which are always the same, irrespective of the address of just one
vehicle. For example, in a block system operation, a loco must always come to a halt in front
of a red signal, although it can run through a green signal, no matter what address it has.
Therefore it makes no sense for all vehicles in a block system operation to be given the same
commands all to be programmed individually.
Sequences, which are valid for all vehicles, we call automatic operation. We will now set out
in the following, the various possibilities which the navigation receiver can offer in automatic
operation.

8.3.1 Time controlled, Push-pull, Shuttle Operation
