Preface

Congratulations on your acquisition of the TRAIN-NAVIGATION System. We are very plea-
sed that you have decided on TRAIN-NAVIGATION as the innovative and technically perfect
system of controlling the model railway. We are sure that you will have great enjoyment in
recreating the prototypical operations of the real railway with TRAIN-NAVIGATION.
Intended use: The system components of TRAIN-NAVIGATION may only be used in model
railway vehicles/on a model railway layout. All electronic parts for these components must
be handled very gently and carefully. The following advice must be strictly adhered to:
Contact with fluids (i.e. oil, water, cleaning fluids ...) could damage the electrical com-
ponents (Navigation Transmitter 6832, Navigation Receiver 6833).
Unnecessary handling with metallic objects (i.e. screwdriver, tweezers ...) could damage
the electrical components both mechanically and electrically.
Rough handling (i.e. pulling on wires and connections, bending the components or scre-
wing in the fixing screws too tightly could damage the electrical components both
mechanically and electrically.
Soldering onto the Navigation Transmitter can cause it to fail.
The components of the TRAIN-NAVIGATION are not suitable for use by children under
3 years of age because of the constructionally essential sharp edges and points as well as
the danger of swallowing. Please keep the instructions of the individual components!
Arrangement of this book, showing what you will find in which chapter!
2. Fast Entry, quick results
3. Explanation: What is TRAIN-NAVIGATION and how it operates
4. Characteristics and installation of the Navigation Transmitter
5. Characteristics and installation of the Navigation Receiver
6. How does the TWIN-CENTER make contact with the navigation receiver?
7. What are the basic functions of the navigation receiver, what are operational styles, how
are these set up?
8. According to the installation location in the layout, the navigation receiver can perform
many different tasks. To do so, it must be allocated its particular task. The simplest of
tasks is the switching operation, and rather more advanced is the automatic operation.
We have described both in this chapter. You will also discover here a little more about
the special functions of the navigation receiver, which perhaps not all users will require,
but may be sensibly incorporated when programming the switching operation and the
automatic operation.
9. There are lots more Tips and Tricks here
10. Here you will find tables and pages of forms to program the navigation transmitters and
navigation receivers
