The mode function as described in chapter 8.2 allows us to decide whether a programmed
command is to be carried out immediately when running over the sensors, or a little later
when automatically setting off. Speed commands are usually carried out when setting off.
Basically there is a certain sequence to consider when working out the commands of the
individual switching operations:
5. Are the accessories or route commands to be sent? If yes: execute the command
6. Should there be a programmed waiting time as per LNCV5
7. Are individual speed commands to be sent? If yes: execute the command
8. Are individual function commands to be sent? If yes: execute the command
Time delay to switch electrical accessories
If there are to be complete routes of points set as the vehicle first starts off, then it is not real-
ly feasible if the vehicle starts off straight away, immediately after sending out the signals.
The selected routes may not necessarily be ready and the points could still be changing. In
order to give a time delay, an additional waiting time can be entered in LNCV5, so that the
navigation receiver waits before sending out the accessory or route commands until the
speed commands have first been executed.

Advice
Once the loco has passed the green signal, the navigation receiver must be informed so
that it knows when it is free to carry out the next action. This will happen once the sig-
nal is set back to red, either manually (on the TWIN-CENTER) or by another navigation
receiver or automatically corresponding to chapter 8.4.5.
