LNCV2 will determine in which way the navigation receiver will work to carry out the pre-
defined „operational styles".
Important
This chapter about the operational styles is the most important chapter in this book.
Please take time to read it through very carefully so that you can sit back and enjoy the
fruits of your labours when running the feed-back and control commands which you
yourself have programmed on your layout.
8.1

Preparation of the Navigation Receiver

Before we come to the actual programming of the operational functions, it is important to
prepare the navigation receiver. In the previous chapters you have already learnt that the
navigation receiver has already been pre-programmed, so that you can check straight away
if everything is working correctly by running a vehicle after the installation and connection
and watching the loco headlights.
If you now wish to program your own functions, it is necessary to delete the pre-pro-
grammed functions, otherwise it could adversely affect your own self programmed functions.
Deleting the pre-programmed functions is carried out by programming of a special method.

Advice
There are many other possible methods to delete or reset back to a specific point. These
are not needed in this instance. All of the various possibilities are described in chapter
8.4.1
Programming Table
Within the framework of the preparation to program a navigation receiver, we recommend
that you get some suitable writing material and write down all your various programs. This
will always provide you a source of information on the contents of your navigation receiver.
In the section A.4 you will find two examples of programming tables. You can duplicate these
and set up a separate table for each navigation receiver.
