Advice
In parallel operation with two sensors, it is important to make sure that the sensor which
is not run over straight away is not near any strong light, similarly sunlight. This unwan-
ted light could negatively affect the data recognition of the active sensor or even make
it impossible.

8.4.3 Switching off the automation using a signal

Sometimes, for example when manually shunting within a certain area of track fitted with
navigation receivers, it may be sensible to switch off the navigation receivers and then turn
them on again once the manual operations are finished. This is also possible. The navigation
receiver must accordingly be allocated the address of a signal in LNCV 11. This need not be
actually on the layout, but must be registered in the TWIN-CENTER. Once this signal is set
to „red", then the navigation receiver is rendered inactive. Automatic operations will no lon-
ger be carried out. Once the „green" has been set again in this LNCV11 signal the naviga-
tion receiver will be active once again. It could now happen that within this controlled area
of track, that the loco now within this section has been changed over with another one, and
will therefore not automatically start up again. In this case this must be done manually.

8.4.4 Operating the automation using train category

The possibility exists to impact the automatic operation by a category of a recognised navi-
gation transmitter. Now LNCV12 comes into play:

By using this possibility, you can make up really interesting sequences. For example:
On a mountain railway, there is a shuttle operation in the valley station which will rever-
se the direction of the train, but another train will run on through without changing its
direction.
