8.3.5 Station Administration

With TRAIN-NAVIGATION you can oversee operations of a complete station. This can con-
sist of up to ten parallel tracks with one common entry track.
Each arriving train will seek its own destination (target) track in the station. If the track is alre-
ady occupied, then the train will wait at a red signal before the station until its destination
track is vacant. Once it is empty, the train will automatically run into its destination track.
A complete station administration operation is set up as described here: There will be a
navigation receiver installed in the block before the station, set to the operation type entry
manager and another installed in the block after the station, set to the operation type exit
manager. The navigation receivers of the station tracks will have the operation type track
manager.
The entry (arrivals) manager ensures that each track of the station can be used as a desti-
nation track for up to 8 trains (i.e. loco addresses or categories). The routes from the entry
track to each station track will be switched automatically. The exit manager looks after the
automatic departures of the trains from the station: he selects a departing train and sets the
exit route accordingly.
The station can be fully integrated within an automatic block system.

8.3.5.1 Entry Manager

Basic Function
You have set up a station with a number of parallel tracks as per diagram 18.
Diagram 18: Entry manager
Before the entry into the station, there is a single entry track governed by signal X. Installed
in this entry track is a block with a navigation receiver in the operation style entry manager.
This is dedicated to regulating the entry of trains into their individual tracks.
After the signal, the tracks splits as required into the parallel station tracks. Each station
track is taken care of by a navigation receiver in the operation style track manager, regula-
ting the individual braking of the trains up to signal Y at the departure side of the station as
well as the switching of headlights and calling up of various sounds.
The allocation of trains to their individual tracks (vehicle addresses and categories) is carried
out in the entry manager by the settings of LNCVs 20 – 119.
Advice
The functions of the switching operation as shown in chapter 8.2 (which also uses these
LNCVs) are therefore now no longer possible.
