In switching operation individual commands can be programmed in 3 groups of commands
and called up later for operation:
Alteration of the speed (only suitable for locos)
Switching of special functions (Light, Sound, Individual noises, etc.)
Switching of points, signals, or routes of points as well as feed-back
10 commands can be programmed within each group of commands, giving a total of
30 commands. As a receiver with double-sensors, all commands for both sensors can be
programmed, although as a receiver with two single sensors, 5 commands for each location
are the maximum available.

8.2.1 Common Command Description

In the navigation receiver, there are LNCVs 20 to LNCV 109 available to program the
switching operation. By entering in the relevant information into the related LNCVs you can
set up commands which can then be called up as necessary.
One complete command always consists of three entries in three LNCVs for:
Vehicle address
Command values
Concrete form of the command mode
Vehicle address
Enter the following values for the address:
1 – 9999
Address of a loco. The navigation receiver recognises this address, pro-
grammed commands for this address will be sent to the TWIN-CENTER.
10000 – 16382 Address of a wagon. The navigation receiver recognises this address, pro-
grammed commands for this address will be sent to the TWIN-CENTER.
20001 – 20004 Train category: as per chapter 4.3 you can give the navigation transmitter a
value from 1 to 4 within CV 115, or likewise Reg. 5, for a category. This
category value will be continually transmitted alongside the vehicle address.
If there is an existing command for any recognised category, this will be
activated for the accompanying vehicle address. Attention: The address
20001 corresponds to category 1, address 20002 corresponds to category
2 and so on.
20000
General address: the programmed commands will always be activated irre-
spective of the vehicle address or category.
0
No existing commands to be carried out.
Command value and mode
The entry for a command-value or command-mode will depend on whether it is a speed-,
function-, or electrical accessory command. Whilst the address can be simply taken from the
table above, the numerical value, which is entered as a command-value or mode, will be
ascertained after a small calculation. In order to better understand the following explana-
tions, we recommend that you also look at the section A.5: Bits and Bytes. The great advan-
tage of the calculated value is that with one single command, several actions can be swit-
ched simultaneously or via the mode, different command variations can be achieved. You will
find out more as we go along through the following sections.
