Example 3: The loco 3 with train category 1 (address 20001) comes across a sensor. The fol-
lowing addresses have been programmed in the group for electrical accessories and route
commands:

The actions will be executed as follows:
LNCV80 Address Command
LNCV81 Category Command Do not execute, priority too low
LNCV82 General Command
LNCV83 Category Command Category agrees, but priority too low: do not execute
LNCV84 Address Command
LNCV85 Category Command Category agrees, but priority too low: do not execute
LNCV86 Address Command
If the commands of the switching operation when starting off in automatic operation, are to
be carried out (either because the exit signal of a block section will be switched to GREEN
or because in a shuttle stretch the waiting time is set as per LNCV 4), then first of all the
group of route commands will be worked through, then afterwards a waiting time as per
LNCV 5 is inserted. After the waiting time has passed by, the loco is set back to its original
speed, respectively the group of speed commands will be worked through for a different pro-
grammed speed. Last of all the switching of the special functions will be carried out.

Timing for the Command Execution

As each of the single groups of commands of the switching operation is worked through, you
will see that the next sequential command cannot be executed until the previous one has
ended.
A command to switch a single electrical accessory needs about 0,5s. If commands to seve-
ral electrical accessories are to be executed, then the work of the command group will take
that much longer.
In the function command group, there is a possibility to turn the functions on according to
time (chapter 8.2.3, mode for functions) and then automatically turn them off again. But only
after a specified time for such commands has elapsed, the command group can be worked
through again. However, you should avoid having too many time controlled functions, other-
wise it may happen that the commands at the end of the chain of commands are only
carried out when the loco has travelled too far.

Extended Stations

In chapter 8.3.5 you have already learned that, with the aid of the entry manager, track mana-
ger and exit manager simple stations can be automated. In the example in the previous men-
tioned chapter, the track manager works as though it is a block section with occupation
reporting. The navigation receiver can send out occupied or free reports even if used in other
types of automatic operation. So it is therefore suitable for each of the other types of ope-
ration, not just in block sections, but also suitable for use in station administration. There are
literally no bounds for your imagination.
The sending of the occupied or free reports is achieved by adding in the figure 16 to the
operation style values 4 – 10 in LNCV2.
